The human being is more than a brain. It is a heart & a body, too. This is a three part essay about the connection between head, heart, and gut. Part II: The heart center.
A huge bow to what you have written, dear Mac! I had to breath a lot while reading this one, earlier today. It came with an incredible right timing, as spending time with my family over Christmas showed me some (till now) hidden „daddy issues“ which I beleive, I was able to put to the context of my life/my actions..., thanks to your essay. My deep thank you, for such a generous and important Christmas gift of yours. Greetings from the one with „crossed wires“:-), but on the highway of becoming conscious/heart-centered….🙏☮
Thank you, as always, for reading & taking the words to heart. Quite literally this time! It's such important work - hard, for sure. For me too. Uncrossing the wires with the fine, delicate skillfulness of a seamstress or lace-maker... patience, attention to detail, and care for the beauty of the process. Much love to you!
I defo have daddy issues lol. I idolize him /still, in the face of retrospect and facts of his shortcomings. It spills over into everything I think. It’s so weird! I’m thankful and I love it, but I realise it’s p fucked up 💜

it's not fucked up. it's pretty normal. individuation is the process of cutting those parental ties. and it takes a while. or a big trauma. or both.
